KINGSVILLE – A 31-game losing streak is over for Orrick in varsity girls basketball. The Bearcats broke the streak Tuesday night by edging Kingsville 33-29 on the road in non-conference play.
HARDIN – Being a .500 team remains within reach for Hardin-Central in varsity girls basketball. Following a 60-38 Carroll-Livingston Activities Association loss Tuesday night to visiting Higbee, the Bulldogs were 6-7 overall entering Friday’s nonconference meeting with visiting Concordia.
RICHMOND – The Spartans “need to wrestle better” than they did during their 42-36 Jan. 13 home win over St. Pius X of Kansas City as they head into the home stretch of the varsity boys season, Richmond coach Cody Hogan said.
LAWSON – Richmond varsity girls coach Chad Snyder noticed the effects of illness on his Spartans during their 49-26 loss to Trenton in the fifthplace game of the Lawson Invitational Basketball tournament.
