RICHMOND – Hannah Norris and Kennedy Wrisinger delivered the one-two punch that helped the Spartans edge Lawson Wednesday at Shirkey Golf Course. Norris, a senior, shot a 54 (+16) for the nine-hole, par-38 round to lead the Spartan girls, who shot a combined 244.

ORRICK – Varsity volleyball coach Trevor Ballard made a vow after his Bearcats got swept 3-0 Monday by visiting Mid-Buchanan. “We’re going to be working a lot on our basics because we left basic volleyball behind tonight and it caught us,” Ballard said after the non-conference defeat.

RICHMOND – On Sept. 18, Class 2 Richmond clashed with a Class 3 opponent, Southern Boone County, and in a bloody-nose donnybrook, came back to tie the game four times before the visitors pulled off a 38-24 fourth-quarter victory.
RICHMOND – Tuesday marked a first in this girls golf season for the Spartans. By shooting a combined 239, Richmond placed second in a Missouri River Valley Conference triangular with Warrensburg and Harrisonville at Shirkey Golf Course.
