Body CARROLLTON – A longtime friend and opponent helped give Richmond senior Kaylee King the extra oomph she needed to win two events at the Bruce Finlayson Invitational. Competing against Orrick’s Anela Fletcher, King won the girls 100-meter high hurdles in 16.

Body CARROLLTON – On April 24, Kaden McGinnis completed a quest. Competing that afternoon at the Bruce Finlayson Invitational, the Hardin-Central junior set the school record for the boys 200-meter dash with his time of 22.77 seconds.

Body CARROLLTON – Orrick senior Anela Fletcher was, admittedly, “a little surprised” at her finish in the girls long jump at the Bruce Finlayson Invitational. Fletcher’s best leap in the event at the April 25 varsity track and field competition at Carrollton was 4.7 meters.

Body When Richmond held Senior Night for varsity baseball, Spartans coach Zach McGill turned to one of his seniors to pitch. That senior, Bryer Farnan, responded by posting a no-hitter.

Body ‘PHENOMENAL DAY’ A school track and field record has fallen at Orrick. On April 16, senior Anela Fletcher broke the girls long jump record at the Carrollton Combo Invitational with her event-winning jump of 5.27 meters.

Body to PRO Covering Richmond varsity baseball this spring has gotten me to thinking. The handful of times I’ve seen the Spartans play at Southview Park, their home field, I don’t recall hearing “walkout music.
