Spartans must self-isolate

Body RICHMOND – The Spartans beat the Mules, 44-6, last week, but now the question is whether Richmond can beat the Lathrop team’s brush with COVID-19. A football coach has the virus and “some players are showing symptoms,” Lathrop District Superintendent Chris Fine stated.
ON THE SOUTH SIDE of the Richmond field, near Lathrop’s fans in the stands, Richmond junior quarterback Keyshaun Elliott is harried by a defender who drives him out of bounds, but not before Elliott reaches the pylon for the score in the 44-6 Spartan victory Friday. Richmond’s players have a promising season in front of them, but word has come down that some Lathrop players may have COVID-19, forcing Richmond players this week to self-isolate.
