Body Donald Ray “Don” Simms, 84, of Richmond, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born on Nov. 14, 1937, in Carrollton.  He was first married to Judi Ann Thomas of Richmond in April 1958; they later divorced.

Body Larry Pearl Palmer, 72, of Richmond, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at V.A. Medical Center in Kansas City. Larry was born on Aug. 21, 1949, in Fleming, the son of John Henry Clay and Wilma Elizabeth (Van Oster) Palmer.

Body Joy Marie (Kenney) Dunwoodie, 80, of Richmond, formerly of Blue Springs and Kansas City, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at Ignite Medical Resort of Blue Springs. Joy was born on April 15, 1941, in Chariton, IA, the daughter of William B. and Alice E. Kenney.

Body Anita Margaret Glisson, 96, of Lexington, MO passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 14, 2022, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, MO where she was recovering from a broken hip.

Body Ronald D. McCanless, 84, of Independence, MO passed away Jan. 9, 2022, at Rosewood Health Center.  Ron was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Maryville, MO to Isaac and Marguerite McCanless.  His wife of 54 years, Arlene (Osborne) McCanless, preceded him in death.

Body James Randall “Jim” Harris, 67, of Richmond, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  James was born on December 28, 1954, at their home in Hardin, the son of Lloyd and Mary Alice (Pennell) Harris, Sr.

Body Marjorie Dean Pearson Stuart, 76, a resident and native of Richmond passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.  She was born on April 14, 1945, the daughter of Mack and Eleanor (Jung) Pearson.

Body Reverend John Benjamin Selleck, 80, of Braymer, died Friday, January 7, 2022, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.  John was born on May 5, 1941, in Sayer, PA, the son of Jesse and Gertrude (Bierfreund) Selleck.

Body Dorothy Marie Essig, 83, of Excelsior Springs, died Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Liberty Hospital.  Dorothy was born on November 16, 1938, in Liberty, the daughter of Tyrus “Ty” and Hortence (Woods) Coats.

Body Eugenia Kay (Swafford) Scherlinger, 86, of Henrietta, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at River Bend Heights Rehabilitation Center in Lexington.  Eugenia was born on June 11, 1935, in Ray County, the daughter of Fletcher Martin and Geneva Ella (Jones) Coffman.
