Candidates for Missouri House District 53 are sharing their positions on taxes, public education, local government funding and agriculture ahead of the Aug. 4 primary election.

Democrat Beth Grubb and incumbent Republican Terry Thompson are both unopposed in their respective primaries and will face off in the Nov. 3 general election for the District 53 seat in the Missouri House of Representatives.
