Joyce Thomas

Joyce Loraine Thomas, 69, of Richmond passed away Feb. 21, 2026, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehab in Richmond.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Joyce was born June 23, 1956, in Lexington, the daughter of Fred James and Jeanette Faye (Reade) Callahan.

She married Chad Matthews Thomas, who passed on Feb. 15, 2026.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Michael Callahan; greatgrandson, Anders Rankin; and several aunts and uncles. She also leaves behind her daughter, Trisha Callahan of Nevada, Mo.; two brothers, Danny Callahan of Wellington and Paul (Gayle) Callahan of Lexington; aunt, Virginia Beingham of Richmond; grandson, Tyler Degraffenfeib of Corder; granddaughter, Chelsey (Trenton) Rankin of Higginsville; and great-grandson, Beckett Tonnar of Higginsville.
