The computerized digital system that was introduced to the world and programmed into it has evolved within itself to become a system that is not programming us. No one invented this new system; it invented itself. Though there are those who would take all the credit for it. “It” is “AI.” Artificial intelligence has incorporated within itself those patterns of behaviors we all have established while being totally dependent on the original system. We all originally controlled it; it now controls us because we let it. It now functions to think for us and makes decisions for us in such a subtle manner that we have no realization of what is happening, and it does so without any concern for what the consequences will be.
