Misenhelter joins UCM troupe

Myleigh Misenhelter is finished dancing for Richmond High School basketball games, but she’s not finished dancing for sporting events. As the Richmond News reported May 10, Misenhelter has joined the dance team at the University of Central Missouri (UCM), where she’ll perform for football and basketball games, and participate in dance competitions. Richmond held a signing ceremony for her May 2 in the high school gym. UCM wasn’t the only school Misenhelter considered. “I went and auditioned for UMKC (University of Missouri-Kansas City) – for the conservatory – and I did make it,” Misenhelter recalled May 6. “But I decided to go to UCM instead.” Misenhelter, who graduated last week from Richmond, picked the Warrensburgbased, NCAA Division II university because she “just liked it there better,” she said. “I was more comfortable being there,” Misenhelter said. “And I liked the people better.
