WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Service urges people to visit IRS.gov for current information on the second round of Economic Impact Payments. The Treasury Department began issuing a second round of Economic Impact Payments, often referred to as stimulus payments, in late December.
HARDIN – Watching his Bulldogs get thumped 65-31 Monday by visiting Grundy County/Newtown-Harris provided Hardin-Central varsity boys basketball coach Brent Behler a clear reminder that ball security is the team’s biggest trouble spot.
ORRICK – The Bearcats won and lost by double digits Tuesday when they hosted Kansas City Lutheran in nonconference varsity basketball action. With four players reaching double figures, the varsity boys cruised to an 86-47 win.

SPRINGFIELD – A bill filed in the Missouri Senate by Republican Sen. Robert Onder would block state and county governments from creating rules or ordinances that impose any greater restrictions on religious activities, like attendance or participation in any service or meeting, than non-religious activities during a health emergency like the pandemic.
