ORRICK – Friday’s meeting with visiting Norborne Hardin-Central in varsity 8-man football will be difficult emotionally for Orrick coach Kirk Thacker, he acknowledged. A former Hardin-Central teacher and coach, Thacker helmed the NHC co-op program from inception in 2015 through the 2020 season.

RICHMOND – Richmond High School senior Joseph Martin, 17, Richmond, underwent a two-day orientation as a member of the American Battlefield Trust’s Youth Leadership Team, or YLT. Martin and 13 other teens will spend the next year engaged in an advocacy campaign to bring historic preservation, education and heritage tourism initiatives to his community.
