Complete with dancing and limbo, Special Needs Services (SNS) of Ray County hosted Community at Play (CAP) Summertime Fun Dance recently. SNS Executive Director Suzan Breen stated the event, which was open to the public, was positive and fun, with the goal was to get people moving.

With the intention to spread mental health consciousness, two Orrick High School (OHS) students recently presented their “How Full is Your Cup?” campaign to Ray County Coalition members last week.

Jan Carnahan accepts the Degree of Exemplar Award. The group hosted a Gamma Theta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi ritual. The Exemplar Degree, the third degree of Beta Sigma Phi, may be conferred when a member has completed four years at the “Ritual of Jewels” level. Members who qualify for this degree and other upper degrees may receive the degree in their current chapter or may progress to an upper degree chapter. Denver Douglas, Brody Fifer and their Hardin-Central boys basketball teammates got a confidence boost Monday afternoon. With Hardin-Central’s 40-13 thumping of Albany and 44-26 victory over Stewartsville/Osborn in the Barker Center, the Bulldogs finished summerleague play at Lawson.
