Lately, I’ve found myself inspired by two sources: Aaron Holst and Bugs Bunny. Holst, of course, coached varsity baseball and taught for many years in the Excelsior Springs School District.

CHAMPION Jacob Johnson ended his high school track and field career at Richmond as a state champion. Johnson, who formally graduated May 9 and has signed to attend and compete in men’s track and field at Pittsburg (Kan.) State University, won the boys triple jump at the Class 3 state meet.

With the first regular session of Missouri’s 103rd General Assembly now adjourned, Missouri House District Seven State Rep. Peggy McGaugh has issued her 2025 End-of-Session Report, providing a detailed summary of legislation passed and outlining how the state’s $52.7 billion operating budget will be allocated in the coming fiscal year.
