For Richmond Middle School eighth-graders, this year’s trip to the nation’s capital brought American history to life in ways no textbook ever could. From standing beneath the Washington Monument to visiting the Holocaust Museum, students spent four days immersed in the stories, landmarks and lessons that shaped the United States.

MIRANDA JAMISON A tight-knit group of students who grew up side by side in the same classrooms, hallways and hometown gym took their final walk together as Hardin-Central High School’s class of 2025. The emotional graduation ceremony honored not just academic achievement, but years of shared memories, strong community ties and the life lessons learned along the way.
