City council approves $56,200 air unit installation

With Richmond City Council’s unanimous approval, Clint Evans Heating and Cooling will replace four 7.5-ton Trane rooftop air conditioner units for the gymnasium – including the crane required to set the units on the roof - for $53,600, as well as $3,200 for four 45 degree turning vents to create a smoother change and diversion in direction of the airflow, said Richmond City Administrator Tonya Willim.

RMS students of the month treated to breakfast

To raise morale and middle schoolers’ self-esteem, Richmond Middle School (RMS) hosted its first annual parent breakfast for September’s students of the month. Sixth-graders Tristan McGaugh and Abigail Garland, seventh- graders Rex Smith and Lexi McCloud, and eighth-graders Lyla Best and AJ Harrell were the honored students of the month.

Chronic wasting disease documented in Clay and Ray counties

Chronic wasting disease (CWD) has been detected among the whitetail deer populations in 31 Missouri counties, including Clay and Ray. The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) urges hunters and other area residents to look for diseased animals and advises hunters to be aware of regulations that apply to CWD management areas.
