Johnny Melford Ritter, 90, of Orrick, died Friday, April 8, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ronald William Vassmer, 84, of rural Richmond, died Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at NorthCare Hospice House in Kansas City.
Ronald was born on January 20, 1938, in Clay County, the son of Walter and Iva (Young) Vassmer. He was united in marriage to Louetta Bennett of Gladstone on October 8, 1960; she survives of the home.
Greatly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend Kathryn Louise Fisher passed away peacefully at Friendship Village on Mar. 29, 2022.
Carol Abercrombie Farris, 102, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 4, 2022.
She was born in St. Joseph, Gloria Carol Abercrombie, the third daughter of Lillian (Pendleton) Abercrombie and Julius Bailey Abercrombie on January 23,1920, both of whom preceded her to heaven. In 1941, she met and married James R. Farris, who passed away in 1997. There were two daughters born to this union, Lynn Carter McCullough of Richmond, and Barbara (Jack) Embree of Huntington Beach, CA. There was one son James David Farris.
Randy Wayne Williams, 66, of Richmond, died Friday, Mar. 25, 2022, at NorthCare Hospice House in Kansas City.
Randy was born on Jan. 4, 1956, in Lexington, MO, the son of James Albert Williams and Viola Haines Danner.
Bruce Allen Moore, Jr., 57, of Richmond, died Thursday, Mar. 24, 2022, at St. Luke’s Plaza in Kansas City.
Bruce was born on Mar. 6, 1965, in Kansas City, the son of Bruce Allen and Barbara (Drew) Moore, Sr. He was united in marriage to Maxine Lee Burt of Kansas City on June 15, 1985; she survives of the home.
Ricky Wayne Alexander, 61, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away on March 17, 2022 at home. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs at 10:00AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00AM with a graveside at Woodland Cemetery, Richmond, MO to follow. Mr. Alexander was born in Richmond, Missouri on November 03, 1960 at Ray County Hospital. Ricky was in the marching band in high school playing the tuba. He loved bowling and was an avid dog trainer, even owning his own dog training business.
Vinetta Ann (Loyd) Garnett, 62 of Orrick MO passed away Monday, March 14, 2022 at Ray County Memorial Hospital.
Vinetta was born on March 10, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri, to William Eldred and Betty JoAnn (Huffman) Loyd. Vinetta worked and retired from Commerce Bank in downtown Kansas City. Vinetta was united in marriage July 3, 1989 to Robert "Bob" Garnett, of nearly 23 years where she nicknamed herself the "Evil Wicked Step-Mother", he proceeds her in death.
Lyndsey Jo Vance of Linn Creek, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach, MO. Lyndsey was born on April 6, 1985, in Richmond, the daughter of Michael Vance and Donna Vance.
Thomas Dean “Nick” Ford, 79, of Richmond, died Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Nick was born on September 5, 1942, in Carrollton, the son of Leroy and Eva May (Chenowith) Ford. He was united in marriage to Angie Lvonne McLallen of Richmond on December 23, 1967; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: son, Clinton D. Ford of Tularosa, NM; daughter, Tracey J. (Jay) Sim of Holton, KS; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers: Marty, Mike, David, and Ronnie; and sister, Vicky.
