Discount at speedway
WARRENSBURG– Adult racing fans will pay a little less if they visit Central Missouri Speedway on opening night this season.
In a recent press release, owner/promoter Earl Walls stated that admission for adults would be $10 for opening night, still to be determined as the track remains closed because of COVID-19. Adult general admission is typically $12.
“We realize that many people are now unemployed due to the virus situation and budgets are tight,” Walls was quoted as saying.
Walls also announced that price increases for categories planned for this season would be postponed until at least 2021.
In other racing news, Susan Walls, owner/promoter and Walls’ wife, stated the speedway would refund car registration fees to drivers who had prepaid for this season, if they so request. Ray County drivers who raced in 2019 on the banked oval track included Skyler Nolker and David Wood of Richmond.
