Hardin-Central and Orrick know who their respective boys and girls basketball teams will face to open the Class 1 District 13 Tournament. The Orrick boys, who finished regular-season play with a 67-50 I-70 Conference win Tuesday night to visiting Concordia, are the top seed and have a first-round bye in the single-elimination tournament, Missouri State High School Activities Association information states. They’ll face the winner of the Feb. 20 meeting between fourth-seeded Tina-Avalon and fifth-seeded Northland Christian at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at Norborne, the host for all District 13 games. A win would put the Bearcats in the district title game, slated for 7 p.m. Feb. 24. The Hardin-Central boys, seeded third, will open at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 against sixth-seeded Norborne, with the winner playing the winner between Southwest of Livingston County and Breckenridge at 6 p.m. Feb. 22 in the district semifinals.
