Missed shots sink Spartans in Husker Classic opener

HIGGINSVILLE – Shooting issues hurt the Spartans in their 36-33 nail-biting loss Tuesday to Odessa in the Husker Classic at Lafayette County of Higginsville, Richmond varsity girls basketball coach Chad Snyder and senior post player Emmalea Kilpatrick agreed. “We just couldn’t make a lot of shots we needed to make. … It’s a bummer because we can make them and we just didn’t tonight,” Kilpatrick, who contributed nine points, said.
