Richmond varsity boys basketball coach Kevin Jermain saw his Spartans be intense and display their muscle Feb. 9, when they cruised to a 75-53 mat/ courtwarming victory over visiting Lexington. Those traits the Spartans displayed during the Missouri River Valley Conference (MRVC)-East Division meeting were qualities they had lacked during their 73-57 Jan. 19 road loss to Lexington, according to Jermain. Richmond guard Nolan Quick agreed. “We just completely flipped the switch,” said Quick, a sophomore. Lexington “hit us in the mouth” to start the January game, Quick recalled. “We did the exact same thing to them this time,” he said.
