Coach Finley logs first win
LUDLOW – Annie Finley has her first win as Hardin-Central’s varsity girls basketball coach.
Finley reached the milestone Monday with the Bulldogs’ 40-22 road win over Southwest of Livingston County. Libby Fifer led the way with 11 points and was among three Bulldogs in double figures. Seniors Abby McNelly and Alyssa Rechtermann each contributed 10.
Allee Hein led the Wildcats with six points.
The Carroll-Livingston Activities Association victory followed losses Nov. 23 to Chilhowee and Dec. 2 to Tri-County. Senior Morgan Finley, the coach’s daughter, led Hardin-Central against Tri-County with 12 points and was the lone Bulldog in double figures. Other contributors included Fifer with seven points.
Carly Turner paced Tri-County with 20 points, followed by Destiny Gutshall with 10. Monday’s victory put the Bulldogs at 1-2 overall and
