Alexander awaits IFL season opener
Richmond graduate TrevonAlexander is eager to make his Green Bay Blizzard debut.
The Blizzard will kick off its Indoor Football League (IFL) season March 15 by hosting the Vegas Knight Hawks at the Resch Center, located near Lambeau Field, the home venue of the NFL’s Green Bay Packers. It’ll be a rematch of the 2025 IFL title game. Green Bay lost that meeting 64-61.
Alexander, a wide receiver, signed with the Blizzard in the fall of 2025 shortly after his previous IFL club, the Bay Area Panthers, had ceased operations.
Alexander, who was scheduled to report for practice Wednesday, is impressed with what he has seen of the Blizzard’s fans.
“They are all about football,” he said during a recent interview in the Richmond High School gym. “I’m excited to try the cheese curds; and I’m excited to feel the atmosphere, because when I see it on film, I don’t see empty seats.”
