Making homemade almond milk, one blender later

We can all say we’ve made meals, desserts and cocktails but have you ever made your own milk? I took it upon myself to make my homemade almond milk after watching a TikTok video of another gal making it. It did not look challenging and I like vanilla almond milk, so the adventure began. Yes, although I grew up on whole milk from a cow, as I grew older, I made the switch to lactose-free kinds of milk. The homemade almond milk called for: the ingredients, a blender, colander, large bowl, cheesecloth and a container to put the finished product in. The ingredients were: • Three cups of almonds (duh) • Splash of vanilla extract • Several dried dates • Splash of maple syrup • Nine cups of water • Sprinkle sweetened coconut flakes (optional) The very first thing you must do is let the almonds soak overnight in the water.
