In your October 20, 2023 newspaper, I was disturbed to find the kind of news you’d find in the National Enquirer regarding the Ray County Sheriff’s office. Our new sheriff is just getting his bearings, having to sort through a mess that somebody else made. And that somebody else really WAS crooked! And we all know it. From the old sheriff to the prosecutor to a judge-worked/working their own agendas. So spare us the yellow journalism, will you? I’m lucky to have survived the Bush era in Ray County. It’s the crooked ones that want us to believe the slander, and misrepresentations and you should be ashamed to have participated. Print news! Not fodder. And by the way, my HOMETOWN of LAWSON - the 911 should support the sheriff and vice versa! What is wrong with you all!? All this nitpicking at the sheriff’s office ... all these petty things look like a cakewalk compared to the deviance with which the old sheriff’s office was ran!!! The old sheriff’s office VIOLATED people’s CIVIL RIGHTS…
