District urges community to oppose bullying

We believe students need to feel valued, know they belong, are free from worries about being bullied within the schools and feel safe in the school they attend. In order to be successful, we ask our Spartan families for help to facilitate this culture. Tolerance of various beliefs, cultures, races, abilities, lifestyles and gender equality are important characteristics to develop within our school and community. Anti-bullying and equality are crucial for our families and students. It is important that we all join forces as a team to address these issues. Students, parents, staff and community members must report any incident which includes intolerance of various cultures, beliefs, races, abilities, lifestyles and gender equality in a timely manner. If any conflicts arise, we encourage students to confide in a trusted adult. Once the school is made aware of the situation, then these behaviors will be addressed.
