Commissioners, listen to the voters on recreational marijuana
Dear Editor, I have appreciated clear and well-written articles in the Richmond Daily News from the time I have subscribed. It was with some interest I read the Dec. 30 article about a recent County Commissioners meeting, where the Commissioners appear to be considering a request by one citizen to stay our November vote on recreational marijuana.
First, as I understand from the article recreational marijuana passed by majority vote both statewide and in Ray County.
Secondly, past Presiding Commissioner Bob King notes Ray County has an ordinance that makes marijuana illegal in the county.
Lastly, I am encouraging voters to urge the Commissioners to listen to the will of the voters and remove the marijuana ordinance in Ray County.
