Vaughn H. Evans II, 72, of Higginsville passed away peacefully May 23, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 12, 1953, in Excelsior Springs to Vaughn Evans and Edna Estenbaum. Survivors include the love of his life, Barbara Goring of Higginsville; one stepdaughter, Megan Goring of Higginsville; one daughter, Jana Boice of Boisdare; two sons, Travis and Dustin Evans; one sister, Penny Chaney; one brother, Rocky (Barbara) Evans; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a handful of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Higginsville Cancer Coalition.

The family expresses its heartfelt thanks to Janet and Vince, and his cousins, as well as One Community Hospice and Palliative Care.
