She was the oldest of four children and had three younger brothers: Larry, Dwight and Mike, who predeceased her. For most of her adult life, Sue lived in Richmond, building longlasting friendships in the community. She worked in the floral industry for many years and enjoyed working at the Ray County Library.

Sue was a lifetime member of the social sorority Beta Sigma Phi for 43 years and formed a cherished bond with her girlfriends, who enjoyed traveling together.

Sue is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bruce E. White; son, Ted White of Richmond; and daughter, Kathryn Mehan of Philadelphia. She also is survived by two grandchildren, Gavin White and Alexa Mehan, and Austin Pettiecord (predeceased) Kristen Rogers; and one great-granddaughter, Marlee Rayn Pettiecord.

In addition, she is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the City Union Mission, located at 1100 E. 11th St., Kansas City, MO 64106; or by emailing info@cityunionmission.org.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Local arrangements are under the care of Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
