Steven Douglas “Steve” Grubbs, 60, of Richmond died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, at his home.

Steven was born on Dec. 15, 1962, in Lebanon, Tenn., the son of Earl Grubbs Jr. and Suzanne Koontz.

Steve is survived by his father and mother; his brother, Earl (Lisa) Grubbs III; sister, Beth Ann Sullivan; daughter, Rosalee Grubbs; and granddaughter, Riley Payne.

Steve attended school in Lebanon. He served from 1980 to 1983 in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He married Martha Payne in 1987.

Steve will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cotton Creek Cowboy Chapel. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Cotton Creek Cowboy Chapel in Richmond. Rev. Mike Stephens officiated.

Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond was in charge of the arrangements.
