Shirley Jean Humbard, 91, of Richmond, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Richmond. 

Shirley was born on November 3, 1930, in Richmond the daughter of Peter and Margaret Frances (Seek) Pedockie.  She was united in marriage to Paul Humbard of Richmond on August 29, 1948; he preceded her in death on January 11, 2007. 

Survivors include: son, Paul W. (Brenda) Humbard of Richmond; grandson, Shawn Humbard; three great-grandchildren: Lauren, Brenden Paul, and Makenzie; brother, Edward (Elaine) Pedockie of Excelsior Springs; and sister-in-law, Janet M. Pedockie of Dockery. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Donald Wayne “Tony” Pedockie, and niece Vanessa Pedockie. 

Shirley was a housewife and homemaker.  She was a great observer of nature and enjoyed reading.  Shirley was of the Christian faith. 

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crowley Cemetery.  They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
