The Richmond News, May 23, 2025 Mary Della Flanigan, 81, of Jefferson City passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at River City Living Community, surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 8, 1944, in Excelsior Springs to Joseph H. and Elizabeth (Ryan) Cox. Mary was a 1962 graduate of Excelsior Springs High School. She was married on Sept. 5, 1964, in Excelsior Springs to Charles Donald Flanigan, who survives at the home. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Jospeh. Mary worked for many years as a sales associate at Sears and as a homemaker, raising her family. She enjoyed crafting, baking and reading novels. Many days, she would bake treats and deliver them to the fire station for the firefighters to enjoy. Mary Flanigan Mary and her friends formed a book club circle to share each other’s favorite books.
