Marilyn Jean Stewart 70, of Cameron, Missouri, passed away April 13, 2020, at her home from natural causes.

A private graveside service took place April 16 at Providence Cemetery in Liberty, Missouri.

Marilyn was born Sept. 15, 1949, in Belton, Missouri, to Marion Orville Lawrence Sr. and Virginia Marie (Williams) Lawrence. She was the youngest of two children. She was a very high-spirited, loving and caring woman. She enjoyed riding horses with her dad and attending rodeos. At a young age, she grew to love playing bingo with her Mom and Aunt Eithal. She always enjoyed time spent with older brother, Marion Jr. “Hot Rod” Lawrence, and her cousins, Janie, Sue, Maxine, Barbara, Tut and Chuck Lawrence.

In 1973, she met Roysten “Rusty” Stewart in Kansas City at Memorial Hall while attending a wrestling match. Roysten then and forever was the love of her life. They gave birth to their first child, Roysten Dean, on Jan. 9, 1974. They married three months later, on April 29, 1974. Marilyn was a strong, loving and devoted wife and mother of two boys; stepson, Allen Dean and son Roysten “Rusty” Dean. On March 22, 1977, they then gave birth to their second child, Ronda DeAnn. Between their three kids, they had 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She loved each and every one of them with all her heart.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Virginia Lawrence; brother, Marion Jr. “Hot Rod” Lawrence; husband, Roysten “Rusty” Stewart; and father-in-law, mother-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include a son, Roysten “Rusty” Stewart of Maysville; daughter, Ronda Stewart of Iowa; and son, Allen and Sherry Stewart of Liberty; grandchildren, Tonya Wightman, Dayna Stewart, Daymon Stewart, Mandy (Jeremy Maudlin), Ryan Cooper, Heather Stewart, Logan Stewart, Bubba Smith, Kayla Smith, Selena Smith, Rosie Smith, Joanna Smith, Kevin Smith and Hallie Smith; and great-grandchildren, Coltin Maudlin, Riley Cooper, Octavia Stewart, Tryndin Stewart and Maverick Clark.
