Laura Hugill

Laura Hugill, 65, of Richmond passed away Feb. 18, 2024. Visitation and memorial services will be held noon-3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Ray County Veterans Memorial Community Building in Richmond. Born June 19, 1958, in Kansas City, Laura lived a rich life as a free spirit that could not be contained. She found her passion in nature wandering the woods and creeks, searching for the ever- interesting rock and walking stick, and hunting for mushrooms in the spring. Laura could always be found tending her gardens and enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.

Beloved by many, Laura leaves behind her three children, Jessica Finocchiaro, Jacob Hyatt and Chazlynn Goodell, and their families; and five grandchildren. Laura also is survived by her mother and four sisters, and their families.

She will be mourned, missed and remembered by all whose lives she blessed.
