Judith Anne (Stone) Baker 82, a resident of Polo, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Lees Summit Medical Center. Judith was born on April 24, 1941, in Richmond, the daughter of Kenneth and Emma Lucille (Holzer) Stone. Survivors include: two sons, Mark (Lori) Baker of Gallatin and Greg (Chrystle) Baker of Polo; a close family member Keith (Frankie) Logan of Polo; two daughters, Melanie “Sissy” (Allen) Hobbs of Polo and Joy (Kevin) McCaw of Lees Summit; three sisters, Mary (Tony) Estes, Sharon Burnett, and Marilyn (Jim) Clevenger; nine grandchildren, Crystal, Shane, Shannon, Justin, Clayton, Ashley, Lauren, Chase, and Kaylee; and twelve great grandchildren, Jaden, Colton, Braydon, Annika, Hayden, Jaylee, Tristan, Ava, Hollis, Maddie, Cooper, and Oakley. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Judith graduated from Braymer High School in 1960. She worked at General Motors in Fairfax, KS on the assembly line until she retired in May 2001. She was of the Christian faith and a member of the Braymer Christian Church. Judith loved her family dearly, always enjoying watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She also was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan. She loved being around family, traveling, and she always had beautiful plants and flowers in her yard for everyone to enjoy. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. The family suggest memorial contributions in her honor be made to the Polo Nutrition Center. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home 507 East Main Street / P.O. Box 190 Richmond, M.O. 64085. Visitation with funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Braymer Christian Church, with visitation beginning at 12:30 P.M., with services to follow at 2:00 P.M.
