Joan Clark, 92, of Richmond, died at 9:12 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2020, surrounded by her loving family, at Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.

Joan was born on Oct. 16, 1927, in Richmond, the daughter of Daniel Webster and Beulah (Williams) Keller. She was united in marriage to Gerald L. Clark of Braymer on April 15, 1960. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2012.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Kelly Clark, and his wife, Tammy, of Richmond; five grandchildren, Stacey (Tom) Flowers, Ashley (Eric) Morgan, Daniel (Nicole Lavine) Clark, Heather (Nick Evans) Rodenberg and Tyler (Dominique) Clark; 14 great-grandchildren with two on the way; five great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Daniel (Carol) Keller of Elkhorn, Kenny (Jeanine Saladino) Keller and Dale (Cathy) Keller, all of Richmond; and special sister-in-law, Sue Clark, of Excelsior Springs.

Those family members gone on before include her parents; husband; son, Carl Dewayne Stanton; sister, Connie; and half-brother, Dennis O’Dell.

Joan was a reared and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Richmond High School. In addition to being a housewife and homemaker, she was also a bus driver for 13 years for the Richmond School District. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, growing flowers, and loved to cook and shop.

For those wishing to make memorial contributions, the family suggests either the American Heart Association, Cancer Association or Diabetes Association in memory of Joan. They can either be dropped by or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E. Main St. – P. O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

Graveside services occurred at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020, prior to services at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Ceremonies entrusted to Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond.
