Janene Louise Templeton, 68, of Polo died Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond. Janene was born on Feb. 22, 1955, in Chillicothe, the daughter of George and Margaret Jones. She was united in marriage to Keith Douglas Templeton of Polo on Oct. 4, 2009. He survives of the home. Additional survivors include: two sons, James Templeton of Waldron, Ark., and Mark Templeton of Spickard; three daughters, Cassandra (Don) Thomas of Trenton, Keila Templeton of Polo and Rose Shepherd of Hardin; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Candy Faulkner of Chillicothe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Darrell Jones.

Janene was reared and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Chillicothe High School. She was a housewife and homemaker. Janene was an amazing wife and mother who dearly loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and the outdoors, and was a lover of animals.

Cremation with services and inurnment will be held at a later date. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
