Glenda Ann Holman, 78, of Richmond passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Glenda was born June 28, 1945, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, the daughter of Marion Francis and Lorene (Davis) Stewart.
She was united in marriage to Marion LeRoy Holman of Hardin on Jan. 10, 1964. He preceded her in Glenda Holman
death on Aug. 22, 2001.
Survivors include his son, Larry (Tina) Holman of Richmond; and four grandchildren, Mamie (Josh) Wilson, Carissa (Travis) Cringan, Jessica (Jeremy) Kaat and Casey (Megan) Holman. Other survivors include 12 great-grandchildren: Daniel Cringan, Jackson Cringan, Liam Cringan, Oliver Cringan, Tyler Wilson, Kaeli Wilson, Cody Wilson, Casey Holman, Julie Holler, Leo Holman, Zane Kaat and Millie Kaat. She also leaves behind a brother, Raymond (Janet) Stewart of Lexington; and two sisters, Brenda (Gary) Marrant of Excelsior Springs and Linda Allen of Elmira.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Ann Holman; and two brothers, Melvin Stewart and Ray Stewart.
Glenda was raised and educated in Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School.
She was a farm girl and enjoyed the farm lifestyle. Glenda was a hard worker and could outwork most of the boys and men on the farm. She was a natural busybody. She loved animals and would bring all the strays home, if she could.
In addition to working on the farm, she worked for Price Candy in Richmond, as a cook at Ray County Hospital and at Lake City Arsenal.
Glenda was the family picture-taker and recorder of family get-togethers, chasing you around with her camcorder. She loved her Mountain Dew.
Glenda will be dearly missed by her friends and family.

Visitation with graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 1, at Todd’s Chapel Church and Cemetery, west of Richmond, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and services to follow at 2 in Todd’s Chapel Cemetery.
