Jeanne was raised by her mother and later adopted by George J. Winders following an accident that claimed her father’s life while working as a lineman. She was a 1961 graduate of Richmond High School, and later in life, proudly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Drury College in Springfield.
In addition to being a devoted housewife and homemaker, Jeanne held various jobs outside the home. After completing her degree, she taught at Job Corps in Excelsior Springs and worked as a property manager as well. Her strong business sense proved invaluable in supporting her family through the years.
Above all, Jeanne was a gifted artist. She poured her creativity into painting and drawing, blessing her loved ones with many treasured works of art that continue to be cherished.
She had a deep love for her Lord and Savior, and her faith was central to her life.
Jeanne’s greatest joy, however, came from her role within her family. She embodied everything a mother and grandmother was meant to be.
