Francis Joe Hendricks of Richmond, Mo. passed away on April 19, 2020 at his home in Richmond, Mo.

Joe was born on October 24, 1934 to Myrtle (Wormsley) Hendricks and Alvie Hendricks of Lawson, Mo.

Joe was a hardworking man all his life and had many various jobs through the years. He worked for many years at various grain elevators, he worked for many different farmers and he was for a time a police officer in Archie, Mo.

Joe was a friendly easy-going guy who never met a stranger.

Joe is survived by Annette Leatherwood whom he loved dearly and often said she made him a better man. His son Bobby Potter of lndependence, Mo. His grandchildren and his great grandchildren. Stepdaughter Sherri Rush of Richmond, Mo. Stepsons Mike Leatherwood of Oklahoma and Chris Leatherwood of Kansas City, Mo. He is also survived by three brothers, Robert Hendricks of Independence, Mo., Donald (Jessica) Stockton of Rockville, Mo., John Stockton of Richmond, Mo.

Three sisters Shirley Ellison of Lexington, Mo, Nellie (John Sheehan) Hagemann of Kansas City, Mo. and Connie (Dave) Powell of Richmond, Mo. and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his fur baby, Miss Kitty, who misses him dearly.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather William Stockton Jr., his son, Francis Dean Hendricks, his sister Eva Ramseyer, and his stepdaughter Karen Ford.

There will be no services per Joes wishes. His wish was to be cremated and his ashes buried by his mother at South Point Cemetery in Orrick, Mo.
