Floyd Judd, 87, of Richmond, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at NorthCare Hospice House in North Kansas City.

Floyd was born Nov. 14, 1936, in Henrietta, the son of Orvil A. and Zelma N. (Jeffers) Judd.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Anita Lee of Richmond on May 25, 1957. She survives of the home.

extended family; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Teresa Elaine Judd; four brothers, twin brother Lloyd, Larry, Billy and Vernon Judd; and sister, Juanita “Faye” Johnson.

Floyd was raised and educated in the area of his birth. After receiving his education, he worked for area farmers, where he found a passion for farming that would continue throughout his life. He also worked for Lee and Sons Coal Mine in Knoxville, and Hamacher Feed Store in Richmond.

Floyd then worked for Allis-Chalmers Tractor Manufacturing for many years and retired from there. Floyd was a hardworking man who not only worked a normal 40 hours at his job at Allis-Chalmers but also maintained a working farm with row crops and raising livestock.

He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He could build anything out of wood.

After retiring, Floyd and Shirley enjoyed spending many winters in San Juan, Texas.

Floyd was of the Chrisian faith. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ray County Humane Society. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation and funeral services were scheduled for Thursday, May 30, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Visitation was to begin at 1 p.m., followed by the services at 2.
