Dorris Wayne “D.W.” Yallaly, 82, of Waverly, Missouri, formerly of the Richmond area, died Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Apple Ridge Care Center, Waverly.

D.W. was born on Oct. 25, 1937, in Ray County, the son of Oscar and Veta E. (Booth) Yallaly. He was united in marriage to Linda Paine of Richmond on June 14, 1957; to this union, his two children were born. The couple later divorced.

D.W. leaves behind a son, Richard (Joey) Yallaly of Richmond; daughter, Roberta Yallaly of Gilliam; three grandchildren, Ashley (Dillon) Williamson, Michael Wayne (Amanda) Arms and Derek (fiancée, Cassie Bamberg) Arms; six great-grandchildren, Colton Wayne Arms, Laura Arms, Haylie Arms, Hannah Arms, Kylie King and Everleigh Bamberg; and a brother, Ralph Yallaly of Bonita Springs, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Yallaly; sisters, Kathleen Spor, Ida Fern Lillard and Betty Gowing; and infant sister, Roberta Yallaly.

D.W. was reared and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from Camden High School. He worked for the American Can Co. in Kansas City for 25 years. He was also a bus driver for Fowler Bus Co. in Richmond for 25 years. D.W. also worked locally as an auctioneer and as a driver for Henkel. He was of the Christian faith.
