David King

David Allen King, 68, of Henrietta passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at his home. David was born Feb. 25, 1955, in Lexington, the son of Bernard and Elois (Neblock) King. Survivors include his mother, Elois Dobson of Richmond; son, Christopher (JoLynn) King of Lenexa, Kan.; granddaughter, Kayla King; brother, Dennis King of Henrietta; and two sisters, Jacqueline (Danny) Witherspoon of Clinton and Debbie Seal of Liberty. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father. David was reared and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from Richmond High School. He liked tinkering, and enjoyed riding motorcycles and go-karts.

He worked in the construction business. David was of the Baptist faith. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Ray County. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation and funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 4, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., followed by services at 2.
