Carol “Diana” Duncan, 70, of Richmond, formerly of Hardin, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, at Ray County Hospital and Healthcare in Richmond.

Diana was born March 11, 1953, in Macon, the daughter of Carl Edwin and Margaret Jean (Grugin) Rogers.

She was united in marriage to Mike Weisz of Hardin in 1971. To this union, her two children were born. Carol Duncan

They later divorced.

She later married Harold Duncan of St. Joseph. They enjoyed 28 years of marriage. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her son, Chris Weisz (Shelly) of Richmond; daughter, Michelle (Aaron Ross) Smith of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren, Madison (Alexandra) Berger-Smith and Nicholas Weisz (Kolbie Richey, fiancee); and two sisters, Liz (Steve) Waddell of Lexington and Carlene (John) Carrillo of Atherton. Several nieces, nephews and a special aunt also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lloyd Rogers and Larry Rogers.

Diana graduated from Hardin-Central High School. In addition to raising her family, she worked outside the home as a waitress and caregiver, and for Mid-Missouri Seed in Hardin.

Her family and grandkids brought her much enjoyment. She especially loved going to her grandkids’ sporting events. Diana had a green thumb, and enjoyed gardening and raising plants.

She attended the Hardin First Baptist Church. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Diana Duncan Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.-P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation with funeral services were scheduled for Friday, Feb. 16, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., followed by the services at 2. Burial was to be in Lavelock Cemetery, north of Hardin.
