Betty Lou Taylor passed away on Aug. 31, 2022, at the age of 89, in Hiawassee, GA. She was born in Missouri on Dec. 15, 1932.  

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Lee Skiles, father of Renee Ann Leon-Skiles. He spoke of his continued love for her seven days before his death in Arizona in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Roy Hayes, father of Larry Lane Hayes.  
 
She is survived by her children, Renee Ann Leon and Larry Lane Hayes; grandchildren, Dawn Renee Anderson, Chanel Ann Anderson, Kelley Hayes, Kyle Hayes, and Chris Hayes; and great-grandchildren, Beau and Heather Hailey Hayes.  
 
Betty loved to golf, go shopping and be with her friends (mostly shopping). 
 
Her adventurous journey took her from small town Richmond to California to Belton to Florida and to her final stop in Georgia, near her loving son, Larry Hayes. 

Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond was in care of arrangements. Betty was cremated in GA and her ashes were buried in Woodland Cemetery, Richmond, MO.
