Barbara Loraine (Moore) Scheible, 87, of Norborne, passed away on Nov. 22, 2020, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

Barbara was born Sept. 17, 1933, in Carroll County, the daughter of Harry E. and Marguerite C. (Evans) Moore.

On July 1, 1952, she married Roy William (Bill) Scheible.

Survivors include her children, Cheryl (Douglas) Newham of Richmond, Dan Scheible of Boonville and Kent (Tammy) Scheible of Kansas City. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Kelly Newham, Kyle Newham, William Scheible, Joshua Scheible and Zachary Scheible; step-granddaughter, Kelly Picco; great-grandchildren, Lillian and Bryce Newham, Avery and Mya Hammons; and step-great-grandchildren, Jack and Marley Poston.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one son, David Allen Scheible.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Norborne, the K and K Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Garden Club and Chapel Hill Club. Barbara also met several mornings per week with the “coffee ladies” at the Norborne Fire Barn for the past several years.

Barbara was a farm wife for more than 50 years on the family farm north of Norborne. She and her husband Roy retired in 1994 to town in Norborne.

Her hobbies included embroidery, baking and reading. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and loved spending time with her family, especially on holidays when they could all be together.
