Barbara Ellen McBride, 76, of Richmond died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at her residence.

Barbara was born on Jan. 13, 1947, in Boonville, the daughter of Robert and Lillian (Cox) Drew. She was united in marriage to Jimmy “Gator” McBride of Huntsville, Ala. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Survivors include: her daughterin- law, Maxine Moore of Richmond; stepson, Patrick Christopher McBride of Huntsville, Ala.; stepdaughter, Vicki McBride of Ardmore, Ala.; six grandchildren, Jessica (Brian) Campbell, Caleb (Shelby) Moore, Patrick Christopher McBride II, Heather Renee McBride and Sarah Bridges; nine great-grandchildren, Aliya Campbell, Isabella Campbell, Gage Campbell, Adelyn Moore, Brayden Moore, Emersyn Moore, Emabrlynn, Knoxlynn and Teagan; and niece, Shelle Chambers-Keylon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bruce Allen Moore Jr.; and sister, Bertie Lynn Kerns.

Barbara was born in Boonville and raised in Kansas City. She worked as a bookkeeper and an apartment manager.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Gatlin, Ala. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
