Anna Lee Hoffman, 94, of Richmond passed away peacefully Monday, March 11, 2024, in the loving arms of her Lord to meet her dear husband and son with him.

She was born May 15, 1929, in Independence to Orville Lee and Clara (Arms) Grubb.

She married Conrad William Hoffman of Camden on Feb. 22, 1953. He preceded her in death on Anna Hoffman

July 26, 2020.

Besides her loving husband of 67 years, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Wayne Hoffman; parents; two sisters, Edna Frances Grubb and Alma Faye Edson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Allen and Edna Schwartz; and brother-in-law, Lionel Edson.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Karissa Richele Hoffman-Crawford (Cody) of Kearney; two greatgrandsons, Diesel Michael Hoffman and Maddox Wayne Crawford; great-granddaughter, Natalie Rae Crawford; and daughter-in-law, Kris Newel (Ryan) of Excelsior Springs. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.

Anna Lee worked for several years at the Sears Roebuck mail order credit office in Kansas City. She also worked at the Price Candy Co. in Richmond and Lexington Savings Trust Bank, and retired in 1994 from Mercantile Bank in Richmond. She worked in banking for more than 22 years.

She was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church, serving on several committees and helping with many other duties of the church she loved so dearly. Anna Lee also was a member of the Richmond Order of the Eastern Star No. 255 for 54 years and a member of the Ray County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Anna Lee was a devoted wife of more than 67 years, and loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking and baking, especially for her family, and making their favorite foods. Taking pictures was a fun thing she did at special gatherings.

She loved working outside in the yard. Anna and Conrad loved traveling and took several long trips from the eastern states to the western states. They always enjoyed going places together and working on projects at home. They truly enjoyed their life spent together.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond United Methodist Church, Richmond Order of the Eastern Star No. 255 or the Boy Scouts of Richmond Troop No. 324. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.-P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation with funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, at the Richmond United Methodist Church, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and services to follow at 11. Interment will be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
