Alan Martin Vaughan, 59, of Rayville, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Alan was born on Oct. 14, 1960, in Kansas City, the son of William and Carol (Heck) Vaughan. He worked as a printer for Jefferson Smurfit for 26 years and established an excavation company. He loved spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors and cooking.

Alan is survived by his wife, Brenda; his son, Travis and his wife Amanda, of Lawson, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Levi and Lucy. He is also survived by his brothers, Bruce and wife Sheri of Kansas City, Missouri; Marvin and wife Connie of Springfield, Missouri;and sister, Cheryl, and husband Sal of Independence, Missouri.

Alan was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alan Vaughan Memorial Fund. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E. Main St.-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

Memorial services are to be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements are by Thurman Funeral Home.
