Adleigh Rose Hambrick, the anxiously awaited infant daughter of Alex Charles and Adrienne Leigh (Rhodus) Hambrick of Richmond, went to be with her heavenly father at 10:05 p.m. June 20, 2025.

She departed from Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Survivors include her parents; paternal grandparents, Chuck Hambrick and Tammy Menke, and Angela and Todd Pencook, all of Richmond; maternal grandparents, Tara and Greg Rhodus of Parkville; and paternal great-grandmother, Jeanie Adams of Richmond. Other survivors include her six uncles and aunts: Matt Tweedie, Adam Hambrick, Lane (Chris) Hallauer, Sydney (Austin) Trammell, Aubrey (Scott) Ziller and Aaron (Tessa) Rhodus.

Adleigh touched so many hearts without even knowing it. She was one of a kind. She changed our lives forever in so many ways. She taught us so much and we are blessed to be her parents and family.

Adleigh will forever hold a special spot in our hearts. We now have a sweet angel to watch over us. You will continue to be a light in our lives and are loved by so many. Fly high, baby girl, and do your thing, as we know you will. In a field of roses, she is a wildflower .

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home; 507 E. Main St.-P.O. Box 190; Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation and memorial services were scheduled for Thursday, June 26, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and services to follow at 2. Burial was to be in Richmond Memory Gardens.

To honor Adleigh’s memory, the family kindly requested that those attending her visitation and services wear bright colors or something a little girl would love.
