Local tales reveal Ray County’s spooky side
Editor’s note: This is the first of a two-part series about the Halloween- themed episode of “Ray County Voices”. Part One explores local legends and unusual experiences shared by the guests, while Part Two covers their Halloween favorites and local plans for the holiday.
From stories passed down for generations to firsthand unexplained encounters, Ray County has accumulated plenty of tales suited for the Halloween season.
Those tales were recently shared by Daddy’s 10-13 Diner Manager Natalie Lamar and Ray County Museum Director Cathy Gottsch during a Halloween-themed episode of “Ray County Voices” with Podcast Manager and Sports Editor Shawn Roney.
The full episode is scheduled for release Oct. 10 and will be available on major podcast platforms, including Spotify, iHeartRadio and Apple Podcasts.
